About

Made by a Dad and a Mom, in a valley under a mountain.

WakieUp started at a kitchen table in Heber City, Utah, with Mount Timpanogos out the window. We wanted a way to say the important things with our faces and our voices, land them at exactly the right moment, and have it be fun.

Social messaging had become a scroll of things that did not matter. What we wanted was the opposite: fewer messages, from people we actually know, that mean something and arrive when they should. A birthday message that opens on the birthday morning. A note to a kid away at school that lands the night before the exam. A whole family climbing aboard one Train for Grandpa.

So we built WakieUp around three ideas. You only ever hear from people you have chosen and verified. Every Wakie is sealed until the moment it is meant for. And it should be a delight: animated Covers, live filters, gifts revealed at open, and a Corral full of things you cannot wait to unlock.

Our hope is simple: that WakieUp is fun. That it becomes a new way to give, whether it is a real gift revealed at the moment it opens or the gift of you, your face and your voice, arriving exactly when it matters most. It is for everyone, everywhere, and it is free.
